Sic Bo Bets Explained: Big, Small, Totals and Triples
The game
Three Dice, One Throw
Sic bo is played with three dice shaken in a closed shaker. You bet on what the throw will show — the total, a particular number, a pair or a triple — and every bet on the layout settles from the same roll.
The main bets
Big and Small
Small wins on a total of 4 to 10 and big on 11 to 17, both at even money. The catch is the triple: any three of a kind loses both bets, even a triple 2 that totals 6. That single rule is where their edge of 2.78% comes from, and it still leaves them the cheapest bets on the table.
